I believe that reading is one of the most important things we can do as a child. It teaches us how to be patient and understanding and caring. It teaches us the difference between right and wrong and how to treat others. Also, we learn about friendship from all the stories we read.

If we read about friendships that were bad, we would not be able to understand why people would do such things. We would know what it felt like to be betrayed and lied to so we could never do such a thing. But, if we had read about good friends, we would know what it felt like to be cared for and understand kindness better than those who had no such experience.
